  1. This file contains rules and suggested bulletins for posting ASP
  2. information for the public per Article 3.1 of the ASP Approved BBS
  3. Standards.

  6. It is suggested that you make the following information available to
  7. your callers via a standard public bulletin such as the (B)ulletin
  8. command on Wildcat or PC Board systems.
  9.

  11.     Much of the software available for downloading from this BBS is
  12.     shareware. These systems require a payment to the author if found
  13.     useful.
  14.  
  15.     Some shareware systems are produced by members of the Association of
  16.     Shareware Professionals (ASP).  The authors of these systems have
  17.     promised to meet the association's standard of program quality and
  18.     customer support.
  19.  
  20.     ASP wants to make sure that the shareware principle works for you.  If
  21.     you are unable to resolve a shareware related problem with an ASP member
  22.     by contacting the member directly, ASP may be able to help.  The ASP
  23.     Ombudsman can help you resolve a dispute or problem with an ASP member,
  24.     but does not provide technical support for members' products.  Please
  25.     write to the ASP Ombudsman at 545 Grover Road, Muskegon, MI 49442 or
  26.     send a Compuserve message via easyplex to ASP Ombudsman 70007,3536"

  28.     Those systems that are produced by ASP members are identified in the
  29.     file listings of this BBS by the symbol <ASP> (substitute as necessary).

  32. You should NOT have any messages or bulletins stating "Please don't
  33. upload any copyrighted software" or having any similar mis-conceptions
  34. of shareware. Shareware is copyrighted software that is freely
  35. distributable with the author's specific expressed permission.
